Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how the SteakFlip iOS app ("SteakFlip", "the app", "we", "our") handles information. SteakFlip is designed to work primarily on-device and does not require account creation.

Information We Process

SteakFlip processes the following information to provide app functionality:

• Cook setup data such as steak cut, thickness, doneness, and timer profiles.
• App settings such as unit preferences, haptics, theme, timer behavior, and alert sound choices.
• Recent and favorite presets to let you quickly repeat prior cook setups.
• Active timer state to restore in-progress timers after interruptions.

Notifications

If you grant notification permission, SteakFlip schedules local notifications on your device for timer milestones (for example: flip, remove from heat, and done). Notification permission can be changed anytime in iOS Settings.

Where Data Is Stored

App data is stored locally on your device (for example, via iOS local storage frameworks such as SwiftData and UserDefaults). We do not require a user account to use core features.

Data We Do Not Collect

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not run third-party advertising SDKs.
• We do not use cross-app tracking for advertising.
• We do not intentionally collect precise location, contacts, photos, camera, or microphone data for core app use.

Data Sharing

We do not share your app data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. If this changes in a future version, this policy and App Store privacy disclosures will be updated before release.

Data Retention and Deletion

Because core data is stored locally, retention generally depends on your device and app usage. You can remove data by clearing available in-app history data and/or uninstalling the app. Uninstalling the app removes local app data from your device subject to iOS behavior.

Children's Privacy

SteakFlip is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date on this page.
